SilverCon Show & Contest

Our annual SilverCon model show and contest takes place every year in May, drawing hobby and art enthusiasts from all around. Each year continues to grow, and in 2026 we hit record-breaking numbers in attendance, model entries, and vendor participation!

The contest features over 50 categories, with medals awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. Special awards include Best Aircraft, Best Armor, Best Navy, Best Auto, Best Junior, the Dennis Trimble Vintage Award, and the coveted Best of Show.

We encourage all attendees to take part in both the contest and the judging process.  Before judging begins, a briefing is provided outlining the detailed criteria used to evaluate each entry.

 

Thank your for registering your models for SilverCon 2026. Online registration forms for SilverCon 2027 will be available in April 2027.

This was our first year offering online registration, and we appreciate your patience as we work through the process and identify ways to improve it for SilverCon 2027. Online registration helped speed things up on contest day, giving everyone more time to explore the model showroom, chat with fellow modelers, and visit the vendors!

Please review the following important details:
  1. Fill out all applicable fields as you complete the registration process.
  2.  If you are entering a model for the Dennis Trimble Vintage Kit Award (kits with initial tooling over 40 years old – 1986 or earlier), be sure to select the appropriate option on each of your kit ID FORMS. 
  3. Even if you are registering only one model, you must click “Skip” through all ten registration slots to complete the form. 
  4. If you are entering more then 10 models, you will need to submit an additional form. 
  5. If you complete your registration form online, print TWO copies of the main confirmation page and bring them with you on May 16th.
  6. After Registering, complete the model identifier sheet for each entry.  The PDF can be filled out online and includes four sheets per page (NOTE: use 1 per model).  Print and cut them into quarters sheets.  These will be placed under your model at the contest. 
  7.  Registrant & entry numbers will be assigned at the registration desk on contest day.  You will need to write this  entry number to each model ID Sheet (see #6). 
  8. Pre-registered participants will have a separate line on from those registering in person. 
  9. We do not accept online or electronic payments (credit cards, Venmo, PayPal, ect). Please bring cash for registration, raffle tickets, and vendor purchases.  There is NO ATM onsite.
